POLICE REPORT
A bag dropped in a Rock-dale convenience store last week resulted in the arrest of a Thorndale woman.
Lt. Stephen Goodrich said the bag contained methamphetamine. He said police reviewed video surveillance records, to identify who dropped the bag, and arrested 46-year-old Florence Riley for possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram).
She was released after posting $5,000 bond.
ARRESTS—Other felony arrests during the week:
• Paula Yvonne Calderon, 41, Rockdale, out-of-county forgery of financial instrument, released on $20,000 bond.
• Jacob Julius Mitchell, 33, Rockdale, prohibited substance/item in correctional facility, assault by contact, in custody on $10,000 bond, fined $411.
• Dariaus Marques Pan-key, 31, Rockdale, out-of-county injury child, released on $3,000 bond.
• Jennifer Laynae Stewart, 34, Austin, possession of controlled substance (less than one gram), released on $6,000 bond.
OFFENSES—Goodrich said police investigated a forgery by passing complaint that involved a counterfeit $20 bill passed at Brook-shire Bros.
Also, a charge of unauthorized for a motor vehicle was added to an arrest last month on an evading arrest charge.
Other offense investigations begun included vehicle burglary, assault, disorderly conduct and possession of firearm by a felon.
Police also investigated a reported violation of the city’s permanent outdoor burning ban.
CITATIONS—Police issued 34 citations during the past week including 25 for speeding.
SERVICE CALLS—Officers responded to 180 calls for service during the past week and there were 108 calls received through the 911 emergency system.
