Four persons were arrested by Milam County Sheriff personnel Friday, Jan. 6, during an afternoon drug raid at an address in the 100 block of County Road 311 west of Rockdale.

Sheriff Mike Clore said the search and arrest warrants were the result of an ongoing joint investigation with the Rockdale Police Department regarding last year’s shooting and drug activity at the location.

Multiple controlled substances in violation of the Texas Controlled Substance Act were recovered, including Ecstasy/MDMA, methamphetamine and Alprazolam. Additionally, a stolen vehicle was recovered.

Four individuals were arrested and charged as follows:

• Raul Avila—Second-degree felony for possession of controlled substance, third-degree felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm, state jail felony for possession of controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor for possession of controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor for property theft.

 

• Crystal Pounder—State jail felony warrant for possession of controlled substance.

• Ronald Martin—Class B misdemeanor warrant for false statement to peace officer.

• Cody Martin—Third-degree felony for possession of controlled substance.
