—Last Thursday night there were two town halltype meetings in Rockdale at 6:30 p.m. Judge Bill Whitmire held one at the One Stop (top photo) regarding the possibility of moving the Tax Office to the Appraisal District providing an opportunity for input from the public. He also held the same town hall meeting in Cameron and Thorndale.
The judge will have an upcoming column to explain more about the meetings. East Ward City Councilman David Melton, along with Mayor Ward Roddam, held a third town hall at Moon Brew Coffee Co. at the same time and relayed information about several topics to the attendees.
