MORE—There are a lot more than Milam County races on the ballot, of course. This is a presidential election year and the two parties have a total of 24 candidates—17 Democrats and seven Republicans—on the primary ballots vying for the office now held by Republican Donald Trump.
Trump is challenged by six candidates, including former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld, and Milam Republicans also have the option of voting “uncommitted.”
There are 17 Democrats hoping to be the nominee including all the perceived front-runners. The ballot includes former Vice President Joe Biden, Senators Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar, and former Mayors Pete Buttigieg and Michael Bloomberg.
