Polling places for the March 1 election in Milam County were announced this week by County Clerk Jodi Morgan. Early voting starts on Feb. 14.
• George Hill Patterson Community Center, 609 Mill St., Rockdale.
• Bea’s Kitchen, 105 E. Main St., Cameron.
• Cameron Housing Authority, 714 W. Sixth St., Cameron.
• Buckholts Community Center, 110 W. Main St., Buckholts.
• Thorndale VFW, 302 Moerbe St., Thorndale.
• Milano VFD, 302 US 79, Milano.
• Gause VFD, 102 Main St., Gause. Each city will have all-day voting to make sure everyone has a chance to vote.
In Rockdale the long days are Feb. 16 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Cameron’s long days are Feb. 16 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Feb. 19 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Milam County Clerk’s Office, 107 W. Main St.
In Buckholts the long days will be Feb. 16 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thorndale’s long days are Feb. 16 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The deadline to apply for a ballot-by-mail must be received, not postmarked, by Friday, Feb. 18.
