The first week of early voting has concluded with 5,560 votes cast in Milam County. Of that total, 1,767 were cast in Rockdale while 1,862 people voted in Cameron.
Thorndale has had 873 early voters, while Buckholts has had 332 cast their votes.
The county has received 707 ballots in the mail with another 11 from the military and 8 limited ballots.
Early voting continues until Oct. 30. Sites are:
• Rockdale Civic Center, 609 Mill—Oct. 13-16, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 19 and 26, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Oct. 20 and 27, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Oct. 21-23, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28-30, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Bea’s Kitchen, 101 East Main, Cameron—Oct. 13-16, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 19 and 26, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Oct. 20 and 27, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Oct. 17 and 24, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Oct. 21-23, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 28-30, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
