Earth Day is next Saturday, April 22, but Rockdale Earth Day has many projects planned and our readers can volunteer for any of them. The organization’s Day of Community Service will take place on Friday, April 21.
“Holding our projects on Friday will allow optimum participation from the students at RISD,” said Rockdale Earth Day chairperson David Melton. “Please come out and volunteer to help make God’s good world better.”
The day will start in the RHS gym at 9 a.m. County Judge Bill Whitmire will kick off the day with remarks to the students.
Other volunteers are needed at all of the projects and are welcome to show up at the gym or at the project of their choice.
