Students and others gathered in the Rockdale High School gym to hear from Principal Brent Hasselbach, Rockdale Earth Day chairman David Melton, city councilwoman Michelle Larkin who read the mayor’s Earth Day proclamation and Milam County Judge Steve Young before heading out to pick up trash in Rockdale. This year’s Honorary Earth Day Chairwoman, Peggy Perry, is seated in the front row in the yellow blouse in the photo at left.
