• Friday at 4 p.m., Prayer Walk culminating at Tiger Stadium at 5:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, April 19, 9 to 11 a.m. Earth Day Spring Celebration at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library. Enjoy the Earth Day display with lemonade, iced tea, bottled water, desserts and finger foods.
• Friday, April 22, Earth Day, 9 a.m. at the Rockdale High School gym. Students will be bussed around town to pick up trash with bags and gloves provided by Rockdale Earth Day.
• Saturday, April 23, 8 a.m. to noon. Citywide Stash Your Trash at Fair Park. Bring drivers license and water bill to verify living within the city limits. Old furniture, mattresses, tree limbs. No motor oil or tires.
• Saturday, April 23, 9 a.m. to noon. Citywide plant exchange at Wolf Park. Bring plants to share and take other plants home.
• DATE CHANGE: Saturday, April 30, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 501 East US 79, Thorndale. Hazardous Waste Collection Event. Fluorescent bulbs, petroleum products, pesticides, acids, household cleaners, cooking oil, paint, antifreeze and batteries. No tires, electronics, fire alarms, smoke detectors, explosives, pressurized containers or brush.
