Main Street Bookshop is participating in Eclipse Glasses USA Give Back program which provides donated glasses to primary school children in other countries around the world.
“I believe the next eclipse event is across Latin America,” said bookshop owner Meggins Scheel.
There is a box at the shop for donating your gently used eclipse glasses.
Springfield hosts seniors
Springfield Missionary Baptist Church will hold a baccalaureate program on at p.m. Sunday for 19 RHS seniors.
Springfield’s Rev. Ronnie Morgan will lead the program and Charles Miles will be the speaker. RHS Principal Brent Hasselbach will also speak to the students.
Refreshments will be served.
Tiger booster club fundraiser set for May 4
The annual Rockdale Tiger Booster Club fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Rockdale Country Club.
Events include a golf tournament, crawfish and shrimp dinner and a silent auction. The money raised will be used to support and enhance all athletic programs at RISD.
