School supplies— With four weeks left in the school year, many students have run out of essential supplies for class. Please restock backpacks with pencils and paper. Be sure they have a binder each day to house important assignments from each subject.
Rockdale High School
Wednesday—Regular schedule; Moot Court contest, Cameron; Administrative Professionals Day; Blinn Ag Mechanics and Welding Contest; FCA meeting, RHS gym, 8 a.m.
Thursday—Flex schedule; senior job fair, 9 am.; mandatory Student Council meeting, RHS Library, during lunches; RHS Art Show opens, 6 p.m. Rock-dale Community Building, Main Street, National Art Society induction ceremony, 6:45 p.m.
Friday—Off-campus lunch reward for students; State FFA CDES Sam Houston State University welding contest
Deadline—May 1 is the last day to take a school-approved college day.
Franklin—Milam County FFA chapters are conducting a non-perishable food drive to re-stock the Franklin Food Pantry, which was damaged in the April 13 tornado. Cash donations are also being accepted to help restock frozen and cold foods once the pantry is repaired. Contact any ag teacher.
Pet food drive—RHS Student Council will conduct a pet food and supply drive for local animal shelter from April 8-18. Donations may be dropped off at the high school.
