RHS freshman won’t get to attend ‘STEM’

Rockdale High School freshman Tatiana Olivares was accepted to attend the prestig iou s U.S. Navy Summer Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics “STEM” program, but it’s been canceled due to the COVID-19 situation.

Currently, she’s acclimating to the home school environment while trying to maintain her GPA, and babysitting her two brothers while both of her “essential” parents continue working as a nurse and energy supplier. She continues to lead her school by creating an interactive online group for fellow Students “Coronavirus Struggles & Tips.”
