Rockdale Intermediate

Wednesday—Kickball tourney during special classes; College Colors Day; Early Act First Knight Rotary Club meeting, 3:30 p.m.

Thursday—Kickball tourney during special classes; PALs on campus, 1 p.m.; Burleson, Milam Special Services Field Day, Milano.

Friday—Student/staff holiday, Good Friday.

Rockdale Junior-High

Wednesday—FLEX schedule; seventh-grade awards, 8 a.m.; College Colors Day.

Thursday—FLEX schedule; eighth-grade awards, 8 a.m.; Burleson, Milam Special Services Field Day, Milano.

Friday—Student/staff holiday, Good Friday.

Saturday makeup— Students are required to attend at least 90 percent of the school year. Anyone not meeting this requirement will need to complete make-up hours to recover “seat time.” Saturday school will be offered this week from 8 a.m. to 12-noon for those in need of hours.

School supplies—With five weeks left in the school year, many students have run out of essential supplies for class. Please restock backpacks with pencils and paper. Be sure they have a binder each day to house important assignments from each subject.

Rockdale High School

Wednesday—Regular schedule; College Colors Day; Art completion submissions due; Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting, 8 p.m., RHS gym.

Thursday—FLEX schedule; National Honor Society forms due by 3 p.m.; Future Farmers of America Banquet, 6 p.m., RHS cafeteria; NAHS trip to McNay Art Museum, San Antonio;Burleson, Milam Special Services Field Day, Milano.

Friday—Student/staff holiday, Good Friday.

ESL Classes—Free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for parents of iTiger students, may contact Lupe Orozco at 512-429-1762. Registration is required and limited seats are available

Pet food drive—RHS Student Council will conduct a pet food and supply drive for local animal shelter from April 8-18. Donations may be dropped off at the high school.

P-TO—The Parent-Teacher Organization met Tuesday in the elementary cafeteria. The P-TO is always looking for active members. Forms are available on the Rockdale ISD website or are in the principal’s office at each campus.

Alternate graduation program—Former RHS students who did not receive their diplomas due to not passing a section of the TAAS or TAKS tests are eligible to receive their diplomas if they completed all course requirements and attempted to pass the tests at least three times.
