CAMERON—Eight persons came before the bench last week in 20th District Court, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey. who listed case dispositions as follows:
• Leotis Quincy Miller, 53, Cameron, 10-year prison term after pleading guilty to burglary of habitation.
• Charles Cody Chudej, 33, Burlington, five-year prison term after pleading guilty to possession of controlled substance (1-4 grams).
• James Earl Johnson, 28, Cameron, 18-month state jail term after pleading guilty to possession of controlled substance (less than one gram).
• Christian Daniel Graciani, 27, Brady, two-year state jail term, probated for two years, standard conditions of probation and ordered to pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to a lesser included charge, attempted deadly conduct with firearm.
• Natasha Rae Matthews, 37, Rock-dale, three years deferred adjudication probation, no contact with victim, $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to online impersonation.
• Matthew Joe Parsons, 33, Dripping Springs, five years deferred adjudication probation, $2,500 fine and $180 to DPS lab after pleading guilty to possession of controlled substance (less than one gram).
• Michelle Harris, 31, Cameron, three-year prison term, and ordered to pay $1,246.83 In restitution to the victims, after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation on an original charge of burglary of habitation.
TRIAL—Also, Torrey said, a Cameron juvenile received a “true” verdict on a charge of indecency with a child by sexual conduct after a four-day jury trial.
“In juvenile cases, the verdict is not ‘guilty or not guilty,’ rather the allegations of misconduct are found to be ‘true’ or ‘not true’,” he said.
Sentencing on the case was scheduled for Wednesday (May 2) in 20th District Court.
