The end of a school year is an exciting time. It is a time when we get to recognize all of the accomplishments of our students. I enjoy the many events that take place as we get ready to close out the school year: banquets, ceremonies, concerts and more.
Through it all, I want to make sure we recognize the important role that our community plays in the lives of our students. Thank you for your support throughout the year. When someone asks me what makes Rockdale High School stand out, my response always starts with, “we have a community that supports us and rallies around those who need help.”
Friday night, starting at 8 p.m., our seniors will receive their diplomas. I am excited because as I write this, it looks like the weather is going to be perfect. I want to invite our community to come celebrate with us as the Class of 2022 officially enters a new chapter in their life.
Several will be continuing their education and others will go straight into the workforce. As they finish off their last activity as high school students, we will celebrate with a fireworks show.
Again, I want to thank everyone for their support of this group of students.
