Live music for almost 14 straight hours is on tap downtown Oct. 6 when the Rockdale Downtown Association hosts the first annual Rockdale Fall Music Festival in and around Wolf Park.
There’s also the annual 5K/1K Run for the Kay, a chili cookoff, vintage cars and campers, the P-TO’s fall carnival, a pumpkin patch and much more.
Music begins at 8 a.m. and there will only be a few breaks, most notably between 5:30 and 6 p.m. when awards for the day’s events will be handed out.
Here’s the schedule:
• 8 to 9 a.m.—Communities in Concert Band.
• 10 a.m. to 12-noon—Random music.
• 12-noon to 1:30 p.m.— Dale and Waylon.
• 2 to 3:30 p.m.—Treble Soul.
• 4 to 5:3o p.m.—Joel and the Roachkillers.
• 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.—Ryan Elise Fatheree.
• 8:30 to 10 p.m.—Brooke Graham.
There will also be wiener dog races (see page 2A), dominoes, washers, food booths and it all ends with a night street dance.
Those attending are invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a full day and evening. Wolf Park is at the corner of Main and Milam.
