Two male juveniles escapees being transported to district court appearances in Cameron from the Youth Opportunity Center-Rock-dale Campus slipped their restraints and were briefly free in downtown Cameron last Wednesday.
Sheriff Chris White said two deputies recaptured the pair in a yard at the Gillis-South Austin intersection.
He said the 17-year-old and 16-year-old both now face additional charges of escape.
White said one deputy sustained a minor leg injury during the chase.
