Town hall meetings will be held to discuss creating an Emergency Services District (ESD) in Milam County. This imitative was put on the May 7 ballot earlier this year but was not done correctly and canceled. It will hopefully appear on the November ballot this year.
The town halls will be led by Milano Fire Chief Kain Dodd and they are a chance to explain what an ESD is and for the public to ask questions.
The first ones are coming up soon: Oct. 4, Milano Civic Center; Oct. 5, Thorndale Precinct 4 Annex; Oct. 10, Rockdale MDD office. All start at 6:30 p.m.
