Season tickets for the fast approaching Rockdale Fair are now on sale at more than a dozen area businesses, most of them on Rockdale.
The tickets, which admit the bearer to every event of the Fair, including the nightly dances and the Oct. 13 pageants, are priced as follows:
• Adult, $25.
• Children ages 5-12 and senior citizens 60 and over, $15.
• Children 4 and under, free.
Season tickets will only be sold through midnight Oct. 18.
Daily tickets, at the gate are $20 for adults and $10 for those 5-12 and over 60.
LOCATIONS—Season tickets may be purchased at the following businesses:
Rockdale—The Rock-dale Reporter, The Ranch, City Hall, Citizens National Bank Downtown, Citizens National Bank Drive-Through, Rockdale Federal Credit Union, Brookshire Brothers, Rockdale Signs, Whiteley Farm Supply.
Thorndale—Rockdale Federal Credit Union Thorn-dale Branch.
Cameron—Anderle Lumber, The Bling Box.
Tickets may also be purchased from Cindy Hughes in Thorndale and Monica Garrison in Cameron.
PAGEANTS—First events of the 2018 Fair will be the Miss Rockdale Fair Queen and Children’s pageants, both set for Saturday, Oct. 13 in the RHS Auditorium.
Thursday is the deadline to enter the children’s pageant. There’s an entry blank on page 6A.
Meetings for contestants in both those pageants are set for Sunday in the high school auditorium, 2 p.m. for the children’s pageant and 5 p.m. for the queen contest.
The Fair’s “big weekend” is Oct. 18-20. See ad on page 8A.
