On Saturday, March 4, the first farmers’ market of 2023 promises something for everyone with a list of vendors and organizations participating. Under the pavilion, several organizations and businesses like the Rockdale Police Department, Rockdale Estates & Rehabilitation, Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, The Rockdale Housing Authority, Master’s Martial Art, Rockdale Rotary Club, The Kay Theater, The 1895 and The Rockdale Reporter w ill have tables so attendees can get to know one another a little better.
The farmers’ market is sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and this year’s Chamber- and Rockdale Municipal Development District-sponsored leadership class is also taking part by making the farmers market a meet and greet for local citizens and a volunteer drive for organizations in need.
Here is a list of just some of the things that will be available from the vendors next Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Fruit and vegetables, salsa, pickles, jams, jellies, hand-painted tumblers, artwork, pies, cakes, cookies, hand-sewn items, vegan pies, dog treats, fresh eggs, plush toys, honey, jewelry, home decor and Mrs. Rivera’s delicious papusas.
