Dude Ferris announced that he is running for Pct. 2 commissioner this week. Ferris worked in the trucking business for 26 years and branched out into other businesses such as fleet repair, site preparation driveways and a recycling business.
He is currently employed by Milam County precinct 2 and says this job has taught him all the skills he needs to know to handle the commissioner’s job.
“When elected as your next Pct. 2 commissioner, I will strive to keep the tax rate as low as possible while maintaining essential county functions. I will work hard to maintain and improve the roads and bridges in Pct. 2 within the confines of the budget,” Ferris said.
