The ballots for city and school boards in the area have been sent with few contested races.
The Rockdale ballot will include Scott Starnes running for the open seat on the east side.
He will face incumbent Richard Coppedge who is running to keep his council seat.
On the west side Brent Boren is unopposed for that open seat.
Jason Barcak who was the incumbent west side city councilman chose not to seek another term on the council.
He opted to seek a place on the Rockdale Independent School District board of trustees. Since he was the only candidate to file for the Place 1 position he will become a member of the board.
Troy Zinn, who is currently the Rockdale Independent School District board president, will also retake his Place 2 seat as no one filed to run against him.
In the Milano City Council race four incumbents have filed to reclaim their seats. Mayor Karl Westbrook is running again, as are council members Steve Honeycutt, Bryan Woods and Glenda Westbrook.
Incumbent Shawn Walton and Levi Keen have signed up to run for the open seats on the Milano Independent School District board.
In Thorndale, George Galbreath will be mayor for another term as no one signed up to challenge him in the city election.
Three men are seeking two spots on the city council. They are incumbent Jared Melde, Gerald Niemtschk and Sam Pickett.
The final ballot for Thorndale Independent School district board was not available at press time due to the district office being closed.
In the city of Lexington, Elvis Lewis, Chris Billings, Cindy Herklotz, Kandis Buchanan and Jessica Reda are running for three open seats. Diana Jackson Matson, who signed up to run for an unexpired term on the council, will take a seat after the May election as she faces on opposition.
Michael Hess and Stacey Stamport will return to the Lexington Independent School District Board of Trustees as no one signed up to oppose them.
