While the filing deadline two weeks away, only a few incumbents have made their intentions know to seek reelection and no new faces have emerged on the filing front.
No one has filed for office in Rockdale for the two seats on the City Council whose terms expire this year.
Troy Zinn, who is the current Rockdale Independent School District board president has filed for reelection to Place 2, according to a district spokeswoman.
In Milano all three incumbents have filed for reelection to their city offices.
Mayor Karl Westbrook and City Council members Bryan Woods and Glenda Westbrook have all signed up to run for new terms.
But no one in the Milano Independent School District has signed up so far to run for one of the two seats available on that board.
In Thorndale it is quiet in the filing zone as no candidate incumbent or new has filed to run for any of the open positions. The filing deadline is Feb. 12.
