South Milam County volunteer fire departments were called out twice during the seven-day reporting period that ended Monday.
The Thorndale VFD was summoned to a grass fire in the 3200 block of FM 486 at 3:46 p.m. May 8.
The Rockdale VFD responded to a smoking electrical ballast at Renaissance Villa at 2:16 a.m. Saturday.
