Fire calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Station during the past seven days were listed as follows:
• 8:10 p.m. Thursday, small grass fires, 5200 block of US 79, Milano ISD.
• 9:37 p.m. Saturday, grass fi re, 400 block of East Fourth, Rockdale VFD.
• 12:48 p.m. Sunday, out-of-controlled burn, half-acre on fi re, CR 306, Rock-dale VFD.
• 9:25 p.m. Monday, Rockdale VFD called to 1600 block of Skyles for smoke alarm. Firefighters said the smoke alarm’s battery had gone bad.
STORM—Overnight Sunday, Rockdale, Thorn-dale and Milano VFDs were all summoned to individual calls in connection with a thunderstorm, high winds and a 1.47-inch downpour.
Some damages were reported in the area but none of the calls involved actual fires.
