Fire calls for South Milam County volunteer fire departments, dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the past week, were listed as follows:
• 11:36 a.m., June 6, grass fire, County Road 456, Thorndale VFD.
• 4:38 p.m. June 6, power pole smoking and sparking, 300 block of South FM 908.
• 5:05 p.m. Thursday, structure fire, 500 block of West Salty in Thorndale, Thorndale VFD.
• 5:53 p.m. Monday, Milano VFD responded to debris in road south of Texas 36 underpass after hay hauler hit the trestle.
