Fire calls for South Milam County volunteer fire departments, dispatched through the Rockdale Police Department during the past seven days included the following:
• 3:52 p.m. Oct. 16, fire alarm in 600 block of County Road 348, Gause VFD dispatched, termed “false alarm.”
• 7:41 p.m. Oct. 16, power line arcing, 700 block of Hunter, Rockdale VFD.
• 7:46 p.m. Monday, Thorndale VFD dispatched to County Road 446 to check on a previously unreported controlled burn.
