Rockdale VFD
Responded to:
• Williams Street for a smell of burning wires which turned out to be a controlled burn on Broadnax which was extinguished.
• 691 CR 313 for a controlled burn that was out of control.
• A large fire at Fort Hood along with all Milam County volunteer fire departments but were then canceled.
• CR 306A along with AMR and the Milam County Sheriff’s Department for a vehicle that stuck a tree. There were minor injuries on the two passengers and two possible broken arms. They were transported by AMR.
Milano VFD
Responded to:
• US 79 and TX 36 for a stalled 18-wheeler.
• 443 CR 234 for a chicken coop and building on fi r e .
• US 79 and TX 36 for traffic control for a traffic light out.
• The 100 block of Avenue A for fire in yard.
Thorndale VFD
Responded to:
• CR 442 along with the Milam County Sheriff’s Department for a motorist stranded in vehicle in high water.
• North FM 486 just past FM 908 for a vehicle on fire.
Gause VFD
Responded to:
• 420 Arendell for a controlled burn.
