Rockdale VFD
Responded to:
• CR 303 and North FM 487 for a grass fire on Wednesday. Milano VFD and Minerva VFD responded for mutual aid as well as the US Forestry Service.
• The airport for a grass fire which turned out to be a controlled burn on Friday.
Thorndale VFD
Responded to:
• Lake Drive and Cowan Street for a structure fire also involving an RV, shed, grass and trees on Wednesday. Rockdale and Thrall VFDs responded for mutual aid.
• Requested a brush back at Lake Drive and Cowan Street later in the day.
• Lake Drive and Cowan Street for a possible flare up on Thursday.
• CR 463 near Detmold Cemetery for a hay field on fire on Friday.
• Cowan Street to check area from grass fire on Thursday.
Milano VFD
Responded to:
• TX 36 and US 79 in Milano for heavy machinery dropped on roadway.
• CR 322 and CR 328 for a two-vehicle accident. The Milam County Sheriff’s Department and AMR also responded.
Gause VFD
Responded to:
• US 79 just inside Milam County for a report of a structure fire which turned out to be flares from an oil rig.
