Fire calls for South Milam County volunteer fire departments, dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the past week included:
• 11:19 a.m. Nov. 14—Rockdale VFD dispatched to County Road 448/FM 1786 area, west of Rockdale, for small grass fire, unable to locate
• 11:45 p.m. Nov. 14, Rockdale VFD and Rock-dale Water Department dispatched to 1300 block of East Cameron (US 79), water leak, part of ceiling caved in light fixture smoking.
• 6:16 p.m. Friday—Burning smell and hot vents, central heating unit 100 block of Cordova, Rockdale VFD dispatched.
• 12:14 p.m. Satuday—Thorndale VFD dispatched as mutual aid for Thrall VFD for grass fire located between Thrall and Thorn-dale.
• 7:34 p.m. Sunday—Visible smoke, possible fire in attic, 2200 block of CR 434, Rockdale VFD.
