Fire calls for South Milam County volunteer fire departments during the past week included:
• 6:04 a.m. Dec. 5, vehicle fire, Texas 36 at CR 241B.
• 3:07 p.m. Thursday, structure fire at Logs to Lumber, 334 East US 79, fully-engulfed, Rockdale VFD. See photos pages 1A and 6A.
• 12:08 a.m. Friday, rekindle at Logs to Lumber, one RVFD firefighter responded.
• 7:18 a.m. Friday, Rock-dale VFD responded to Logs to Lumber for rekindle.
• 7:10 p.m. Saturday, Rockdale VFD responded to fire alarm and water flow alarm, unable to locate.
• 9:18 p.m. Saturday, Rockdale VFD and AMR ambulance responded to FM 487 at bridge for report of vehicle swept away. Milam County Sheriff’s Office was initially summoned but call to them was canceled.
• 4:54 p.m. Sunday, rekindle at Logs to Lumber, Rock-dale VFD.
