Fire calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the past week have been listed as follows:
• 12:36 p.m. Dec. 24, out-of-control burn, County Road 436, Thorndale VFD.
• 5:41 p.m. Dec. 25, report of residence filled with smoke, plus water pouring out of residence. Rockdale VFD was called to stand by but that status was cancelled 14 minutes later.
• 11:55 a.m. Dec. 26, report of something burning in residence, County Road 350, Gause VFD responded.
• 12:18 p.m. Dec. 26, reported grass fire in 2600 block of FM 487/FM 1712, Rockdale VFD responded to what turned out to be an unreported controlled burn
• 12:19 a.m. Thursday, report of flooding with water in a residence at 530 MLK, Rockdale VFD responded, see photo caption on page 1A.
• 1:08 a.m. Thursday, flooding, water approximately two to three feet high in residence at 321 Burleson, Rockdale VFD responded. (See photo page 1A).
The Rockdale VFD also responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at West Cameron (US 79) and Parkway at 7:24 p.m. Friday.
One person was taken to Baylor Scott & White in Temple. See police report, page 3A.
