A rural house west of Rockdale was destroyed in an early morning fire Sunday.
The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze, on County Road 306 just east of the Alcoa turnoff and north of US 79, a 3:37 a.m.
It was reported that the house was already fully engulfed.
Firefighters were called back to a rekindle at 12:21 p.m.
CALLS—Other calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the past week included the following:
• 6:42 a.m. Thursday, report of smoke under a house in 200 block of Avenue A in Milano, Milano VFD.
• 8:35 p.m. Thursday, report of smoke under a carport, 200 block of North First in Thorndale, Thorn-dale VFD.
• 2:08 p.m. Saturday, grass fire, 800 block of North Wilcox, Rockdale VFD.
