Fire calls during the past week dispatched to area VFDs through the Rockdale Police Station were listed as follows:
• 2:12 a.m. July 16, Gause VFD dispatched to house behind the 400 block of Professor Smith Road for structure fire.
• 2:48 a.m. July 16, Milano VFD dispatched to house behind 400 block of Professor Smith Road for mutual aid at structure fire with Gause VFD.
• 10:18 a.m. July 16, Milano VFD dispatched to 3800 block of County Road 342 for a brush pile on fire. Dispatcher reported the call turned out to be a controlled burn.
• 5:30 p.m. July 16, Thorndale VFD dispatched for traffic control after 18-wheeler hit a power line knocking line down.
• 12:08 p.m. Friday, Thorndale VFD dispatched to grass fire in 3300 block of CR 417.
• 4:10 p.m. Monday, Rock-dale VFD dispatched to grass fire in 400 block of CR 446.
