Fire calls for South Milam County volunteer fire departments dispatched from the Rockdale Police Station during the past week included the following:
• 7:04 p.m. July 2, Milano and Gause VFDs dispatched to grass fire caused by motorcycle at FM 2095 and FM 3242.
• 4:14 p.m. July 3, grass fire, CR 448, Rockdale and Thorndale VFDs.
• 2:01 a.m. Friday, Milano VFD dispatched to truck fire as result of accident, Texas 36 south of Milano. Milano VFD remained on site for several hours for traffic control.
