Fire calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the past week included the following:
• 7:23 p.m. Oct. 29, Milano VFD responded to smoking 18-wheeler on US 79 in Milano, no fire, brakes locked up.
• 6:45 p.m. Thursday, apparent out-of-control burn FM 1712, Rockdale ISD.
• 5:38 a.m. Friday, gas spill, Thorndale Cefco, Thorndale VFD.
• 1:52 p.m. Friday, Thorn-dale VFD responded for mutual aid with Williamson County firefighters for two acres on fire.
• 8:27 p.m. Sunday, Rock-dale VFD responded to open gas valve in garage, 500 block of Green.
