Fire calls for the Rock-dale VFD over the past week included:
• 8:43 p.m. Jan. 8, report of “something burning” west of Rockdale, turned out to be controlled burn.
• 12:56 p.m. Friday, grass fire between FM 486 and FM 908, was an unreported controlled burn.
• 8:59 p.m. Saturday, smoke coming from vehicle, US 79 at FM 1786, turned out to be overheating, no fi re found.
