Area volunteer firefighters responded to seven calls over the past week with Rockdale only getting one of those calls.
The Rockdale volunteers responded to pickup-pedestrian accident on West Cameron Avenue last Wednesday night.
The Milano volunteers went out on four calls last week.
On Wednesday, the firefighters responded to CR 360 and found a tractor/ bailer on fire.
Later that day, the department headed over to a call about a brush fire on Texas 36 north of town. It turns out the fire was an unreported controlled burn.
On Thursday, Milano firefighters went to TX 36 and CR 340 after they got a report of a tree on fire.
Sunday the Milano firefighters got a call about a two-vehicle accident on South TX 36 and US 79.
Thorndale firefighters got a report of a smoking building on the 300 block of West US 79.
On Sunday, the Gause volunteers went to CR 353 to check a report of smoke in the area.
They found that the reported smoke was coming from flares that had been set off.
