• Tuesday, 11:35 a.m., Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department along with the Milam County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a two-vehicle accident on US 79 and CR 440.
• Friday, 2:03 p.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department with the Milam County Sheriff’s Office and AMR responded to a call for a one-vehicle rollover at FM 1712 and CR 303A.
• Sunday, 2:20 p.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department along with the Milam County Sheriff’s Office, AMR and the Department of Public Safety responded to a call for a train and car collision. According to a report from the DPS, A four-door sedan, operated by an 18-year old male from San Antonio, was traveling eastbound on US 79 approximately two miles west of Rockdale. The car turned right onto a private drive at an unsafe speed. The driver lost control and vaulted over the bar ditch of US 79. The car landed right side up on the railroad tracks. The driver exited the vehicle prior to it being struck by a train. The driver was uninjured and there were no other occupants inside the vehicle.
• Tuesday, 1:27 a.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department, the Milam County Sheriff’s Office, AMR and others including Air-Med 12 responded to a call for a one-vehicle accident in the 300 block of Oak Park Three for a motorcycle accident with injuries. The cyclist was airlifted to St. Joseph’s in Bryan. The extent of injuries is not known.
• Tuesday, 1:27 a.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call on Ramsey Street about a cat stuck in the fan motor of a pickup.
