Members of the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department held a fire safety and prevention course for first graders on Friday morning at Veterans Memorial Park. Fire Chief Dude Matous told the children it is important to recognize a fireman in all of his gear in case they saw one. Volunteer firefighter Johnathan Young dressed the part.
