Leslie Davidson and Kelsey Briner are the first two winners in the Rockdale Municipal Development District’s Chow Down Challenge.
The Challenge is designed to assist Rockdale restaurants as they attempt to minimize the impact of closing “eat-in” dining during COVID-19.
The contest lasts through April 26. Winners, announced each Monday, will each receive $50.
One change from rules previously announced, according to Kara Clore, MDD executive director. Number of restaurants participants must visit each week (drive-through/take-out, of course), has been lowered from five to three.
Here are the rules:
• Eat (drive through or delivery) at three different local restaurants in a week (Monday through Sunday).
• Spend at least $25 at each one.
• Send copies of receipts, along with name and phone number to info@rockdalemdd.com by 10 a.m. Mondays to be entered for a $50 Visa gift card. Drawings will be at noon Mondays.
There are 31 participating restaurants.
