Rockdale Police Officers made five felony arrests during the past week including:
• Daniel Tovar, 40, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Wachtel for possession of a controlled substance (Less than 1 gram) and for possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces).
• Brandon Balcar, 42, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Wachtel for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) and for possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces).
• A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
• A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested on Thursday for evading police with a vehicle.
• A 12-year-old juvenile was arrested on Monday for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
Accidents
Sgt. Parker responded to 920 East Cameron Avenue for a vehicle that hit a building on Sunday.
Arrests
Three arrests were made during the past week by RPD officers including two for possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces) and one for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Calls for service
Rockdale Police Officers responded to 267 total calls for service with 110 being for 911 emergency service.
Incident report
There were 18 incidents on the report for the past seven days including six for interview room, two for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone, and one each for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram), possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces), burglary of habitation, sexual assault of a minor, evading arrest with a vehicle, evading arrest detention, capital murder, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, duty on striking structure and duty on striking an unattended vehicle.
