James N. Sherer, 40, of Cameron, formerly employed as a sergeant at Cameron Police Department, was indicted by the Milam County Grand Jury today for third-degree felony, tampering with evidence.
This matter was presented to the Grand Jury by a local investigator and this case is being prosecuted by District Attorney Bill Torrey.
