SHERIFF’S REPORT

The second person wanted in a Sept. 13 shooting in Cameron has been arrested in Temple.

On Friday, Cameron police and the Bell County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24-year-old James Ray “Snoopy” Whitfield, 25, of Temple, in connection with an incident in which 28-year-old Keelon Williams of Calvert was shot in the face.

Whitfield was charged with aggravated robbery and also with violation of parole.

He remains in the Milam County Jail. Bond was denied on the parole violation and a $100,000 bond was set on the aggravated robbery charge.

In early October, 21-year-old Atorious Marquis “Li’l Man” Williams was arrested in connection with the same offense.
