—It was a packed house Saturday evening at the Milano Fire Station when the Milano Volunteer Fire Department held its annual chili supper. The MVFD accepted donations totaling $33,500 during the course of the evening. The MVFD Ladies Auxiliary which held two giant garage sales in the fire station donated $16,000. Milam County, represented by County Judge Steve Young, donated $17,500. Over 250 pounds of chili was served, a record for the event.
