Some local fundraisers have been put on hold due to the growing concerns and guidelines over the COVID-19 virus situation.
The Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary has postponed their spring garage sale that was to have taken place April 3-5. They will announce new dates once they are determined.
The Milano Project Graduation chicken dinner set for April 5 has also been postponed.
TEXAS BLAZE—The Texas Blaze RTX 12u softball team, which includes several girls and coaches from the Milano and Milam County area, are selling tickets to help get them to the national tournament this summer. There are two separate fundraisers.
The first cost $20 per ticket and prizes include: cooler full of “spirits,” $500 gift card, $200 gift card, $100 gift card and two tickets to Six Flags. Winners will be drawn April 10.
The other is a “10 guns in 10 days” fundraiser. Tickets are $50 each. Starting on April 1, one ticket a day will be drawn live on the team’s Facebook page for 10 days.
Gun winners must pass background checks to claim guns.
Guns to be given away are: Tristar Setter 20ga 26-inch barrel over/under shotgun; Ruger 10/22 carbine synthetic rifle; Savage XP 6.5 Creedmoor; Ruger EC9S 9mm; NEF Parder 12 ga 18-inch synthetic defense pump shotgun; Taurus G2C 9mm; DPMS Oracle .223 16-inch barrel AR 15; Tristar Setter 12ga 28-inch barrel over/under shotgun; Ruger 10/22 carbine wood/steal; NEF Parder 12ga 28-inch wood pump shotgun.
