There’s no such thing as “Hogan Hall.” There is a structure, adjacent to the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce Rock House Headquarters at 1203 West Cameron, with those two names but it was named for two former Rockdale civic leaders, not one. The “Hall” part is not the venue, it’s a person, Bill R. Hall a former civic leader, banker, Chamber of Commerce official, Baylor fan and Dr. Pepper aficionado. The structure, formerly the rock house’s garage, was named both for Hall and the late W. P. “Red” Hogan, a legendary businessman and Rockdale mayor during the peak Alcoa boom years of the 1950s. It’s actually the “Hogan-Hall Building.” However you say it, it’s an early voting location.
