Gause ISD students and teachers will be out of school for spring break next week, March 12-16.
Everyone involved is hoping the weather will be nice for planned trips or staying home and getting caught up on activities that have had to be postponed or just haven’t gotten done.
March 20 is the third annual Gause Bears Track Meet and then March 27 is the junior high track meet in Gause.
March 29 is an early release and, unless we have some bad weather, March 30 will be a student holiday. Students and teachers are praying for lots of sunshine.
Then comes STAAR testing for several days in April an May.
Our granddaughter Kristian and Roman Morales and children visited with our family Sunday afternoon.
Wayne and I enjoyed attending Gause United Methodist Church Bible Study Sunday night. Gause Baptist Church youth will have a bake sale at Coats Grocery on Saturday, March 17. Money made from this activity will help pay their way to church camp. Please help support the youth of our community.
A number of us enjoyed a time of fellowship Friday night as we got together and played various games. We have a good time—win or lose.
Saturday Trey and Melanie Coats and son A.C. visited with Wanda and Al Coats on Saturday. This was Wanda and Al’s first time to meet A.C., their new great-grandson.
Sunday most of the family members were able to attend a barbecue lunch at the Coats home.
The Todd family lost two of their family members this week—Marie Todd Gibbons, 92, of Bastrop was buried in Gause on Wednesday, Feb. 28, and Alan Todd was buried in Elmer, Louisiana, on March 3.
