Gause Community Improvement Program held their annual fundraiser—Founders Day—this Saturday with great participation in all the activities through the morning hours until after the noon lunch. All donated items were appreciated!
Thanks to all who came out and participated. Some of the proceeds will go for college scholarships to Gause youth who are graduating from area high schools that have been very active in community events. Your help is appreciated.
To you younger parents who have kids that will graduate before you realize the time is near, keep them active in the community (school, church, etc.). Higher education gets more expensive every year. The kids get tired of you pushing them; let them get tired, they will appreciate it in years to come.
The Gause Bears football team will play Round Rock Christian School at Round Rock Multisports Complex Thursday, beginning at 5 p.m. Good luck, boys!
Sept. 20, the Bears will have their homecoming game against Allen Academy at 5 p.m. Come watch them play. Your support will help them.
Again, let me mention the blood drive that will be held Sept. 12 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Gause School. If you can give blood, please do so. You never know when you or a loved one will need this procedure.
Our sincere sympathy to the family of Mrs. Jean Gause, who passed away over the weekend. Funeral services were held at Gause Family Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Darlene and Tommy Reynolds returned home Friday from an enjoyable trip to Colorado.
