I called Delores Fisher to see if she had any news. She told me the only news she had was that she had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I’m sure that’s true of all we mothers if we had a chance to see or talk with our children.

The annual Mother’s Day activities were held Sunday and, as always, it was nice to see everyone who comes to Gause on Mother’s Day to visit with family and friends.

We spent Sunday afternoon with the Coopers and other family members and had a great time.

Wanda and Alfred Coats and their family gathered at the Rascoes for Mother’s Day. They report having a wonderful time.

Gause United Methodist Church is hosting a community after-school bash at 11 a.m. Sunday to celebrate the upcoming summer vacation. They will serve hamburgers and hot dogs and will have games for all ages and fun. Don’t be late!

The cost is free but you must let them know you are coming by texting 979-253-3303 with the number of people attending.

The Methodist Church is located at 204 Walnut St.
